Myofascial Mapping is an assessment tool that is unique to the Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) approach. This hands on assessment provides the therapist with an overview of the restriction patterns currently present in your body. These patterns may be at a muscular , vascular, organ or bone level. Your body provides physical clues about these patterns that is picked up with the mapping technique.

The therapist using this assessment tool is trained to feel the different movement patterns that each body system projects when dysfunction is present. From here, a ‘body story’ is revealed giving the therapist a guide or roadmap to develop a treatment plan.

What can you expect as a client?
You will be lying on the therapy table clothed and the therapist will lightly touch you as they key into the various movement patterns. The therapist will then record their findings and discuss with you the treatment plan that is best suited to meet your treatment goals.
