Laser Therapy is also known as phototherapy, cold laser or low intensity laser therapy. This gentle form of therapy uses visible red light and near infrared light within the (785nm and 870nm) spectrum. The light frequencies penetrate the skin to the target tissue and facilitate the healing process. This form of therapy works by converting the light energy to biochemical energy which then stimulates the body’s own healing process.

Laser Therapy is ideally suited to address conditions such as headaches, sinusitis, tendonitis, bursitis, sprains, strains, arthritic joints, TMJ, neuropathies associated with diabetes and more.
The benefits of this type of therapy are many. It is painless, non-invasive and non-toxic . It is a healty alternative to those seeking a non-medication solution.

The application of this form of therapy can speed the healing process by up to 40%. It stimulates new bone growth, connective tissue repair and enhances blood supply which is needed for any repair/ recovery process.

What you can expect as a client:
If this therapy is used alone for example to treat an ankle sprain, you remove your shoe and sock, the laser diodes are placed on your ankle and the treatment is initiated. The treatment sessions last up to 15 minutes per site.

This therapy works well with massage therapy, Muscle Energy technique, Neural Tissue Tension technique and Strain Counterstrain.
