Neural Tissue Tension, also known as (NTT), is used to release the tensions found in the nerves that extend out of the spinal cord and connect with all the muscles, blood vessels, bones and organs of the body. When there are tensions or compression of nerves, this can result in altered electrical impulses to the desired destination. This can produce pain, poor function, altered posture, muscle spasms and more.

Tensions in nerves can come from injury or trauma, muscle compression ,joint imbalances, emotional upset etc. This therapy works well in combination with cranial therapy, strain counterstrain or muscle energy.

What can you expect as a client?
You will be asked to lie fully clothed on the massage table and the therapist will apply gentle to moderate pressure at various locations to release the desired nerve. This may take anywhere from 90 seconds to a few minutes. A decrease in pain and an improvement in function are the outcomes.
